The beautiful property was first mentioned in documents in 1700 and in 1907 it came into the possession of the Wiegand family.
It all started with the sale of “Ahler, raw Worscht” and home-baked farmer's bread. Even today, these and many other traditional, North Hessian specialties are made in-house.
Our seasonal offers, such as the "Asparagus Dinner" from April to June, our nationally known "Schnitzel Days", the "Battle Dinner" in autumn or the popular "Goose Dinner" in winter, which are also booked for many company events, are particularly popular becomes. We recommend that you make a reservation in advance.
Not only our home-style cuisine makes us a real insider tip in the Schwalm-Eder district, but also our unique ice cream buffets, which are regularly booked for weddings, birthdays or other festivities. Senior boss Willi Wiegand conjures up breathtaking wedding couples or swans made of ice for you. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
Try something new! Mild, aromatic and just as refreshing as you know it from us: This is our latest beer specialty. It owes its balanced flavor to a very special hop - Brewers Gold. A naturally cloudy beer that meets today's zeitgeist.
Schwalm Bräu "Pilsener" is characterized by its fine, mild hop note, which gives the beer its mild, not too bitter character. Our “Pilsener” is brewed from light barley malt and fermented with bottom-fermented yeast. In our vaulted cellars, the “Pilsener” is stored for about 5 weeks to its final maturity.
Fresh yeast in a composition with Hohenloher special malts - a terrific dark beer. Freshly wrapped, it is pleasantly soft and delights with a delicate scent of toasted notes.
With natural lemon juice! Our Mönchshof Natur Radler is the naturally cloudy Radler specialty, the taste of which comes from the natural juice of lemon.
Of good old Bavarian style.
Our down-to-earth delicacy: hearty, spicy and with typical Bavarian yeast notes.
